Timeline

Evolution of SecurOS® in Trinidad & Tobago

2007

Only Certified SecurOS® Partner & First Caribbean Training

PMSL became the sole certified SecurOS® agent in the Caribbean and hosted the first in‑country SecurOS® training in the region for our engineers and partner personnel. At our San Fernando headquarters, we also conducted live demonstrations of the platform’s core capabilities—integrated video surveillance, Face Capture and Recognition (FCR), licence‑plate recognition (LPR), and real‑time situational analytics.

2009

Trade & Investment Convention Showcase

At the TTMA Trade & Investment Convention (TIC) in the Centre of Excellence, PMSL presented the complete SecurOS® suite, including a live Face Capture and Recognition (FCR)‑to‑badge‑printer demonstration for instant ID issuance.

2011

Mobile Command Van & Chaguanas Contract

Mobile Command Van: Converted a Mitsubishi L300 into a rapid‑deploy surveillance unit featuring general surveillance, Face Capture and Recognition (FCR), LPR, and situational analytics. Demonstrated LPR around Queen’s Park Savannah for the Ministry of National Security.

Chaguanas Borough Award: Secured the municipal CCTV contract (in partnership with CMR)

2013

Chaguanas Borough System Commissioning

Following completion of the new Borough Corporation building, PMSL commissioned the Chaguanas CCTV network, deploying Face Capture and Recognition (FCR), general surveillance, and situational analytics.

2014

Hospital Campus Rollout

Implemented SecurOS® at Port of Spain General Hospital, integrating general surveillance, face recognition, LPR, and situational analytics to enhance site security.

2015

Energy & Beverage Sector Command Centers

Petrotrin: Established a fully equipped on‑site command centre utilizing SecurOS® modules— Face Capture and Recognition (FCR), Licence‑Plate Recognition (LPR), general surveillance, and situational analytics—alongside networked cameras, cellular jamming units, drone‑sweeping sensors, access control, and local data storage.

Large‑Scale Beverage Manufacturer: Deployed container recognition alongside surveillance, face recognition, LPR, situational analytics, and access‑control integration.

2017

Command Centre Expanded to Include Trinmar

Building on the 2015 Petrotrin installation, PMSL integrated Trinmar operations into the original SecurOS® command centre at Pointe‑a‑Pierre. This expansion leveraged the existing infrastructure— Face Capture and Recognition (FCR), Licence‑Plate Recognition (LPR), general surveillance, and situational analytics—to provide unified monitoring and analytics for both Petrotrin and Trinmar facilities.

2018

Other Caribbean Islands National Deployment

In partnership with a regional telecom provider, rolled out general surveillance, Face Capture and Recognition (FCR), LPR, and situational analytics across multiple other Caribbean islands for their respective national CCTV networks.

2019

TTPS National LPR Proposal & Regional Installations

TTPS National LPR Proposal:
PMSL presented a plan to enable SecurOS® Licence‑Plate Recognition across 300 + existing video endpoints nationwide. The proposal also covered mobile LPR units for rapid roadblock screening. The proposal included:

Fixed LPR installations at strategic checkpoints
Mobile LPR units for rapid‑response traffic roadblocks
Full integration with FaceX, general surveillance, and situational analytics modules

Dominica & Curaçao Projects:

Dominica: Implemented the core SecurOS® suite with Digicel.

• Curaçao Marriott: Contract awarded in 2019 (partnered with Cable & Wireless), paused for COVID‑19, and completed in 2024 with FaceX, LPR, General Surveillance and situational analytics.

2020

Demo Centre & Prison Deployment

Demo Centre: Opened a dedicated SecurOS® demonstration facility in Trinidad, showcasing all modules under real‑world conditions.

Golden Grove Prison: Provided a no‑cost, five‑year SecurOS® installation featuring general surveillance, FaceX, LPR, and situational analytics to support contraband interdiction.
